Next Season's Outlook

Hello fellow Hounds.  This is club general manager Ross Houston here.  I wanted to give you the loyal club members a preview of what we've got in store for the coming season.

VI.247
We are very much looking forward to our 3rd season in VI.247.  We have very high hopes, but we all know that Broad Street is going to be very difficult to beat.  Anything short of 2nd place in the series would be a disappointment.

US Open Cup
Despite all our accomplishments as a young club we have yet to win a match in the US Open Cup.  Starting tonight we hope to change that.  We like our first round draw with Gtown Gamblers and think we have a good chance to come out winners.  We will be listening to our club members and will be pursuing success in the league and cup with equal vigor.

Mitropa Cup
Once the US Open Cup is over for us we are currently negotiating to enter the 8th edition of the Mitropa Cup.  This 128-team international tournament would give our club a fantastic experience.  Hopefully our club will be accepted.

Youth academy
The youth team's participation in the Guild of Calamitous Intent is coming down to the wire.  We've done spectacularly well and have an outside shot at taking the title.  Immediately after that competition is over we will make an evaluation about whether we want to continue with the Guild of Calamitous Intent.  Even if we would like to continue we believe there is a possibility that the league might fold.  In that case we will be looking for another high quality competition for our youth academy.

Players
Don't look for the club to make a big splash in the transfer market before the start of the season.  We will be looking to make a few smart purchases and will be working hard to integrate a few young players from the youth squad.  This course of action is in line with our club philosophy and our current financial situation.
